Sherpa blankets are usually made out of synthetic materials, such as polyester. They can also be called faux-sheepskin or faux shearling. At times, we refer to these types of materials as sherpa fleece. In addition to being soft and lightweight, sherpa blankets are additionally warm, water-resistant, and easily washable.
