Hand wash your silk pillowcases whenever possible to prevent damage to the fibers. Follow these steps for hand washing:
Fill a clean sink or bowl with cool water. Cool water will help preserve the fabric’s color.
Add a few drops of mild liquid Laundry Detergent. To protect your silk pillowcase, the machine washes it on a delicate cycle with cold water and mild detergent.
Turn the pillowcase inside out before washing to further preserve the fabric. Once the cycle is finished, remove the pillowcase from the machine and gently squeeze out any excess water or detergent. Avoid twisting or wringing as this can damage wet silk fibers. Drain the sink or bowl and refill it with cold water. Repeat steps 3 and 4 four more times to ensure that the pillowcase is clean of any detergent residue.
The word ‘gymnasium’ comes from an Ancient Greek term meaning “school for naked exercise”.
Cracking your knuckles too much will cause arthritis.
Knuckle crackers of the world can rest easy, at least on the arthritis front, because, cracking your knuckles doesn’t increase your risk of developing the painful joint condition. That cracking noise actually comes from collapsing gas bubbles. However, cracking too often may weaken the strength of your grip (not to mention aggravate the nerves of the people around you).
